Old Business

  1. Chicken Dispenser-
Metal frames have been fabricated, powder coating done. Some more fabrication is needed in the next month.
  2. Singer 15-91 for display/demo at DMS: 8hrs worked since last meeting
Steve Alaniz spent 3 hrs with Amelia Greisch verifying the motor was 'good' and diagnosing the only issue was a stuck motor brush. Amelia Greisch spent another 4 hrs cleaning the motor and replacing the brush. The motor is now working well. Amelia Greisch has begun cleaning the interior and exterior of the machine.
  3. Royal Sewing machine for N. TX Celtic Festival:
Amelia Greisch donated a new motor and foot pedal for the machine. DMS member chris is building a new box for it.
  4. Pneumatic Horse Experiment: Rob
Experimentation on quadrupedal motion continues! Rob spends 20hrs+ month on his continuing experiments in motion.
  5. Arcade:
Amelia Greisch & Scot spent an hour cleaning up cables and assembling Ikea inserts for the Video game area.
DMS Racing states their Racing Sim build is almost done, and will be ready for clean installation soon- may be delayed due to upcoming Coffin Race build.
Luigi Frigoli  to consult on arcade Lighting/style.
  6. Vector Cleanup:
All abandoned projects have been removed from Vector. DMS members that have abandoned projects may not bring projects to Vector without Committee Vote.

New Business

  1. Antique Printing Press:
Max Locke  Requests Vector take on project of re-purposing vintage printing press.
    1. His proposal:
      1. Time line to do something with it: Until Automotive Wall construction starts.
      2. Storage Near bay door
      3. Max Locke is the lead on this project
    2. Vote Results:
      1. 5 attendees for, 1 abstain.
      2. Pass
    3. Vector needs to create an 'exit' strategy should time run out on project.
  2. Heat Press:
    1. DMS has been offered a large sublimation heat press. This will allow DMS to make 3x3ft signs, and edge-to-edge sublimation on shirts. A large format press is a frequently desired tool, that is fiscally difficult to procure. Heat presses require minimal maintenance, and would be a good use of space for DMS. For Vector: The large heat press would allow committee members to produce flawless large-scale graphics for their game machines.

    2. The Dye Sub Sig leader Cary Fleming ,
    3. It requires 3 phase power, which is only available in the workshop near Vector.
    4. Amelia Greisch 's proposal is to bring the Dye Sub Sig to Vector.
      1. Discussion: Creative Arts is not ready to move Dye Sub, and requests that Vector host the tool until space requirements in Vector are addressed.
      2. Vote: 6 for, none against.
