Instructions: Per the Bylaws, each candidate for the Board of Directors must submit a signed Statement of Intent. There are no requirements on the content, but typically it includes your Name, Goals, and Commitments.

I am submitting this Statement of Intent to request your consideration for a reappointment to the 2026-2027 DMS Board Of Directors.

Why me?

I believe that a Board of Directors Member needs to:

• have had some business acclimatization - DMS is a $1M+ per year business, with no employees. I am a Management Consultant by day and have considerable experience with governance, marketing, operations, finance, etc. within a wide range of businesses.
• have had exposure to the inter-workings of DMS' administration. I have been an active participant within numerous DMS Committees, 2024-2025 DMS Secretary, 2025-2026 Board of Directors, and 2025-2026 Vice President of Internal Affairs. These activities and roles have given me considerable exposure.
• focus on what's best for DMS-wide/as a whole, not just a committee, group of members, or oneself.  I think my actions have shown a DMS view.
• be around - an absentee Board of Directors Member does no one any good.  My family jokes that I am at DMS too much.  :)

To conclude, my 2025-2026 goals my myself and hopefully my fellow Board Members include:

• Volunteers
• Teachers, including honorarium adjustments, as needed
• Tour Guides
• Getting Phase II done.  I am so tired of talking about it
