Sam Mitchell opens the meeting at 6:15pm
Work day was a success. Thank you to everyone that cam out to help!
The next work day is going to be finishing the compressed air install. There is a "To-Do" list in the new automotive area right now for reference of what needs to be done.
Sam talked with Kia and he talked to the landlord about the original lift drafts. They're trying to work it out and we submitted more plans.
Automotive is going from a two post to a four post lift. It's safer.
The third bay will open for motorcycle to use if the motorcycle lifts are full.
The new lift in the move is held up because we're waiting on getting estimates... the floor needs a lot of to have prep work done before install.
The move will officially happen after the DMS Board election.
Starting next month, you can start teaching classes (not brakes and suspension or anything safety related). Talk to Sam to get the class approved and ready for the calendar.
Sam will need help with the influx of new members. There needs to be reenforcement with the rules within the space. If you see a blue, steal gray dodge caravan please report him. It is not allowed within the automotive space. Absolutely under no circumstances are you allowed to badge someone else in to use the lift. See something, say something.
Can we make "Snitchin is Bitchin" to post around the new automotive space
Prodemand has been down. A check has been sent. We are waiting on word from Jason if it's been processed and back up and running.
Sam has a kiosk on its way in April.
Thank you Garreth for inputting the tools on source. Now it'll be easier to find various tools in the space.
Austin Ledet is DMS Auto's new vice chair!
Introduction to Automotive 101 + lift training will revamp and start up again starting next month (for instructors).
March 15th is the next work day to finish the compressed air installation. March 15th is the deadline to finish the current checklist for the new space.
Anyone who wants to volunteer to help with the electrical box outside the new auto space door, you're more than welcome to.
Rules will be posted in the Automotive space for everyone to see so that there's no excuses.
Sam will clarify if vice chairs are allowed to sticker cars. Or if that's something specifically done by officers.
A car cannot stay more than 48 hours straight at the Makerspace.
