- Discuss Board Announcements for DMS (shooting for the end of June for motorcycle to move into the new space, digital media is almost up and running for camera and YouTube video classes)
- PR/marketing push for automotive specifically i.e. car meets/ shows, car clubs, Affiliate, marketing. (Promos and tents and car clubs - possibly happening end of July beginning of August - 8/29 7pm for DMS anniversary) ask for donations for the roll out if people wanna come with their cars and car clubs.
- Commencement of YouTube channels dedicated to the automotive/motorcycle side of DMS: we are waiting for the new computers and systems to go up in digital media and we can begin posting and attending classes for social media creation. Building and making great content for DMS Automotive to bring and attract new members.Once digital media is back up and running, getting channels up and running.
- Review meeting with Dallas classic car club from yesterday: IT WENT GREAT. They're all older gentlemen, but it's good to have retired members to occupy the space during weekday hours.
- Need more classes for automotive. We need more teachers.
- Automobile expansion updates: Lift Selection (width of bridge jack gap - 64” and 4500 lbs $1,595 x2) Chuck will ask a tech about moving the lift parts to the new area and just pay for installation on both lifts. Ian is getting prices down for power in the new auto space.
- VOTE on the new four post lift and 2 hydraulic bridge gaps $11,500. Chuck motions this $11,500 and Chris seconds. Unanimous YES from everyone.
- Upcoming workdays - 2 more work days before our soft opening (sometime in June: POSSIBLY getting the racks bolted. getting the readers installed and setting up lights & 2nd work day is new lift installation)
- New tools : dry ice machine, electric wheels and drop shop lights. We all voted yes to get 10 new lights for the space. Talk to harbor freight corporate- educational department about broken sets of tools.
- Work on an online 101 class - get documentation from Chuck
- Teardrop Camper Class Build - 2 day event. A member wants to host and showcase her kits. This will need to be done in the new auto space. Her classes will begin sometime in June.
- Kayla will set and post next meeting. It will be set after the next board meeting.
- $25 donations to put up a picture of your car or motorcycle in the new space
