- Report any accidental damage to the Digital Media chair.
- Please inform the Digital Media chair if any of the equipment is in disrepair.
- Leave the area in the same or better condition than you found it. Pick up after yourself, throw away any trash that you brought in, wipe down the keyboard and mouse with electronics wipes if you ate while using Digital Media PCs. Throw food trash away in the break room trash cans. If time permits wipe down your table and the table next to you. As a volunteer run organization, we rely on volunteers to clean up after themselves at a minimum so we can put as much money as possible back into tools and equipment. A little bit extra is always greatly appreciated and helps us maintain the space!
- Put everything back the way you found it.
- Do not remove any of the equipment from Dallas Makerspace without the permission of the chair. Equipment is available to check out for offsite use but unless the chair has approved this, it is considered to be theft and may result in permanent termination of membership and referral to local law enforcement. Cameras, GoPros and other Digital Media equipment all have bags or cases that are labeled and are to be used with a specific piece of equipment. Please use these bags/cases instead of a personal bag or laptop.
- Do not share the locker combination or open the lockers for other people.
- Do not unplug the Digital Media PCs or tamper with them in any way. If you need a work space or you need to modify equipment please contact the chair.
- Music without headphones is fine but if someone else enters the room please turn off the music or wear headphones.
- Cameras should not be used in wood shop unless properly covered with a plastic bag.
- You may use the iron in Creative Arts to iron wrinkled backdrops (assuming the backdrop is made out of a material that won't melt) but you must unplug the iron after use.
- Any SD cards in Digital Media are only for official DMS (PR) use. You must bring your own SD cards for the GoPros and cameras.
