This is a lecture class with a presentation of the introduction of digital marketing and some of the best practices. Students will receive a copy of the presentation after the lecture.

What is digital marketing? It is the marketing of a product or brand to advertise your website, product or brand on the internet to find new customers and help promote products to re-engage previous customers or to drive traffic and awareness to a website.

This will be a high-level introduction class as we will go over the basics students need to know to start marketing on the web.

Gena is currently Director of Digital Marketing with 18 years experience in website, social media, email marketing and search engine best practices to increase traffic and revenue to small business and mid-size businesses. She works for Panini America, a consumer product manufacturer for sports and entertainment collectibles in Irving, TX. She currently oversees all online marketing campaigns, builds strategies, pulls reports and works with the VP of marketing to determine data driven decisions to make new campaigns for company goals.

She also is a visual artist who loves to relax and let loose with watercolor, drawing, calligraphy and journaling.
