Purpose

The Chief Legal Officer is the head of the legal team and is responsible for the legal affairs of Dallas Makerspace.  This includes providing legal counsel to the board of directors and other officers.

Operations Officer General Charter

The Chief Legal Officer shall be bound by the General Officer Charter.

Operations

The Chief Legal Officer may delegate functions of the Office to member(s) of the Legal Group or outside attorneys as they deem necessary.

Responsibilities of the Chief Legal Officer

Ensure that the legal risks of Dallas Makerspace are minimized.  This is accomplished by giving legal advice to board members and company officers, especially on litigation risks.

   

Finances

The Chief Legal Officer shall have a monthly allocation specified by the Board of Directors. This shall be charged against the general fund.
