Motion to execute the 2026-2027 Board Election according to the following schedule: Early January, Early February: Communicate with Members (newsletter) March 1 (Sunday): Communication to Members March 29 (Sunday): Deadline for Statement of Intent March 31 (Tues): Meet the Candidates April 10 (Fri): Deadline to request voting rights April 11 (Sat): Voting begins online April 24 (Fri): Voting Ends at 6 PM CT April 24 (Fri): First Board Mtg - 7:00 PM CT Board directs the Secretary to execute the election in accordance with DMS bylaws. If the following are not running for the 2026-2027 Board, the Secretary, CFO, CTO, and 2025-2026 Board Members will act as an ad-hoc, as needed election commission for mediate any election questions. |

Whereas: Tour Guides are a key part of DMS’ new member acquisition strategy We are currently Tour Guide limited on both Thursday nights and Saturday morning DMS has used its communication tools in order solicit new Tour Guides Lack of Tour Guides limits our social media activation because of demand concerns Motion to add a new section to the Honorarium section of the DMS Rules In furtherance of our mission, Dallas Makerspace may pay honorarium to tour guides as a “thank you” for giving tours. The rules below govern the tour guide honorarium program and may be modified by the Board of Directors at any time. Honorarium Payment Policies – Tour Guides 1. Honorarium payments to tour guides will be $_______ per “tour session.” 2. Tour Guides will need to participate in a Tour Guide training session to be eligible. 3. Tours Sessions will be limited to _______ Tour Guides receiving honorarium. 4. For all Tour Guide honorariums, the Tour Guide must participate for a minimum of two hours during the Tour Session. a. Activities include: For potential members, actively greeting at the door, helping with waivers, understanding interests, giving the tours, helping with sign-ups. b. Being on-call (present at the space but not actively touring) will not qualify for a honorarium. 5. Honorarium payments will be limited to six (6) payments per member, per month. This limit includes both teaching and Tour Guide activities. This limit will be periodically reviewed and adjusted by the Board of Directors. 6. Tour Guides will have the option to donate the honorariums they are eligible for to the committee of their choice. |
